The production of carbon fiber tubes mainly includes winding forming, roll forming, extrusion forming, and compression molding. Winding molding is to incorporate the carbon fiber filament soaked in the resin solution onto the mandrel according to a specific method, and after a series of treatments, the mandrel is removed to obtain the carbon fiber tube. Although carbon fiber tubes can be produced directly by wind, there may be a problem of uneven infiltration of carbon fiber filaments, so the quality of carbon fiber tubes is difficult to guarantee.

The coil-forming process is to use prepreg tape to surround the central axis. This method not only improves efficiency but also ensures the quality of the produced carbon fiber pipes. The premise is to prepare the prepreg tape. The general steps of forming coiled tubes are to make molds according to the drawings provided by customers, and then confirm the quantity and size of prepreg tapes according to the wall thickness of carbon fiber tubes, and apply a release agent before laying up coiled tubes. Paste the prepreg tape on the mold core for compaction, and then pressurize and heat treatment after molding to obtain the molded carbon fiber pipe.
