What is a fiberglass communication tube?

Most people know FRP, but they don't necessarily know what it is used for. Let me introduce what the fiberglass communication tube is.

Fiberglass power protection tube

FRP communication tube is a light, high-strength, corrosion-resistant, burr-free non-metallic pipe, which is mainly used as a protective pipe for laying cables and optical cables.

FRP communication tube is different from power protection tube. Fiberglass communication tube is of composite structure. The inner layer is cleaned of glass fiber burrs and coated with a thicker layer of resin or lined with a layer of PVC.

The emergence of FRP communication tube is to make full use of the high strength, impact resistance and corrosion resistance of FRP, so as to ensure the safety of optical cables or cables in the tube hole under the action of sudden external force. However, the manufacturing process of FRP pipes will inevitably cause certain defects in the use of FRP pipes in the field of communication pipe networks, because there are many FRP fibers standing irregularly on the end face or in the pipe, and these irregular FRP fibers may be in the process of laying optical cables. Piercing the protective rubber layer of the optical cable, once it touches the optical fiber in the cable, it will inevitably cause deflection in the transmission of optical signals, which will seriously affect the quality of signal transmission. FRP communication tubes just solve this problem.
