In recent years, the production technology of composite materials composed of synthetic resin as the matrix material glass fiber and its products as reinforcement materials has developed rapidly, the level of mechanization and automation has been improved, and new effective production methods have been emerging. The molding methods used in production include injection, winding, injection, extrusion, molding and other forming processes. The characteristic of producing composite products is that the formation of materials and the forming of products are completed at the same time, and the production of FRP bolts is no exception. Therefore, the forming process must meet the basic requirements of the performance, quality and economic benefits of the FRP bolt at the same time. When determining the molding process, the following three aspects are mainly considered:

  • The performance and quality requirements of FRP bolts, such as the physical and chemical properties of the bolts, etc.
  • comprehensive economic benefits. At present, the production of glass fiber reinforced plastic anchor bolts requires ordinary extrusion and pultrusion molding processes. Although the continuous pultrusion process is mechanized, has a high degree of automation, good economic benefits, and high axial tensile strength of the product, it can only produce hollow bars of equal diameter, which cannot meet the external structure design of the new FRP bolt and the product quality The shear resistance performance is low, so it cannot be simply applied.
The principle of this process is that the dipped glass fiber roving is drawn under the action of the drawing device and enters the prefabricated thermoforming combined mold, and then the chuck is quickly twisted under the action of the twisting device, and the resin is in the resin. When it is not fully cured and has a certain living force, the movable mold is pressed down on the top of the combined mold, and the resin and reinforcing material flow and deform, filling all parts of the mold cavity. Because the tail section of the combined mold cavity is a wedge. Conical shape, so the formed product can meet the design requirements of the new type of glass fiber reinforced plastic bolt. After the molded product continues to be cured by heat, the movable mold moves up, and then it is pulled out of the mold and cut to a fixed length. Although the bolt produced by this method meets the requirements of the appearance and structure of the glass fiber reinforced plastic bolt, the mold is complicated.
